we are
Day
One East is a day and vocational services program offering a balance of
work and recreational opportunities in a structured environment.
Our daily activities provide our consumers purpose in attending the program
and allow them to interact with both staff and each other creating the
least restrictive environment possible. This special and attentive
care gives our consumers an opportunity to feel comfortable and at home
making them want to return every day. Our program offers specific
and unique services such as transportation and hot meals to our consumers.
This environment promotes each individual's strengths, abilities and preferences
and helps with participating as an active community member.
Who
we serve
We
serve adults with a primary diagnosis of Intellectual Developmental Disabilities
(IDD) and with co-occurring disorders; individuals with needs of ambulatory
aids such as wheel-chairs, walkers or canes; American Sign Language and
limited bi-lingual communication capabilities available upon request.
We also serve individuals presenting with Alzheimer's disease or Dementia.

opportunities are available through Milwaukee County Family Care, Community
Care, iCare, IRIS, Disability Services Division, Private Pay, School District,
Corrections and Surrounding Counties.
