Silver Spring House is a CBRF for developmentally disabled co-ed
adults. This home is transitional, for shorter-term (24 months)
placement. The emphasis is on identifying resident functioning
in major life areas and education/re-education to facilitate learning,
accountability, independent functioning, and acquisition of basic
daily living skills. Residents in this home will be dually enrolled
in both the group home and a day services program. Individual
and group counseling is provided daily, as well as family therapy
where appropriate. Community activities are offered.
