The vocational component of Day One East provides job training and sheltered employment, both on-site and at external job sites. On site, clients learn various job skills in classrooms and simulated work environments. Clients who work off-site are transported and accompanied by job coaches, who train and supervise the work crews at various sites.

Day One East is a "Ticket to Work" employment network, helping Social Security beneficiaries reach their employment goals and become self-sufficient through individualized work plans and support.
