Clients to be placed
at Willowglen Academy, IL, Inc., fall within the categories of developmentally
disables, emotionally disturbed, mentally ill, dependent, neglected and
in need of supervision. Sub-categories include behavior disorders
and DSM IV categories including, but not limited to:
- Psychosis
- Affective Disorders
- Schizophrenic Disorders
- Personality Disorders
- Attention Deficit Disorders
- Attention Deficit Disorders
- Mixed Specific Developmental Disorders
- Pervasive Developmental Disorders
- Mental Retardation
- Oppositional Defiant Disorders
- Post Traumatic Stress Disorders
- Adjustment Disorders
We serve clients
in the the following special educational areas: Emotionally Disturbed
(ED), Learning Disabled (LD), Behavior Disorder (BD), or Cognitively Delayed
(CD).

Referrals
made to the Admissions Department should include the necessary historical
and evaluative information, including but not limited to:
- social history
- psychological information
- psychiatric information
- medical history
- educational history
- other placements
Clients not
generally accepted are those having a sole problem of profound mental
retardation, are non-ambulatory or pregnant at time of admission. Clients
with severe character disorders, or clients regarding intensive sexual
offender treatment would typically be considered inappropriate for admission
