Residential Services

Residential Living Units

Who we are...

We are a licensed Child Caring Agency that is Joint-Commission Accredited.  We provide services for consumers referred to us by the Indiana Department of Child Services and other referring agencies around the country.

Who we serve...

We serve male and female children with emotional, cognitive and/or learning disorders. Our consumers are generally wards of the Department of Child Services and/or involved with the Juvenile Justice System.  Our consumers also can be referred from their local department of education.

How we serve...

We provide a highly structured and therapeutic environment that incorporates 1 staff to 4 consumers with  24 hour wake coverage.  The staff members are responsible for performing fifteen minute face to face bed checks to ensure that each consumer is accounted for during their shift.  In the event that more intensive services are required, we offer 1 staff to 1 consumer.  The staff members are responsible for being within arms reach of the consumer at all times of their shift.  The living units are locked and secured from the outside to ensure that no outsiders will intrude.  The staff supervises and engages with the consumer consistently during activities.  The living units are designed to feel as though the consumers are in the comfort of their own home.  The units consist of a living room area, a kitchen, consumer bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.  The consumers are allowed to add safe things to their rooms to make them feel more comfortable.  Residential staff along with the dietary staff provides the proper nutrition for the consumers.  The consumers eat their meals family style with the staff.

Our goal...

The Residential Program at Willowglen Academy-IN helps to provide hope, safety, develop trust and inspire opportunities for every child and adolescent consumers we serve in any capacity as they journey through their premier therapeutic experience.
