| Who
we are...
Willowglen
Academy's Educational Programs are certified by the New Jersey Department
of Education and are located at two separate sites in Sussex County

Who
we serve...
The
Andover Township site provides self-contained classrooms for children
with emotional and behavioral disorders. The Sparta site provides self-contained
classrooms for children who are diagnosed with autism or other developmental
disabilities.
How
we serve...
Highly-qualified
special and regular education teachers, experienced teachers' aides and
individually assigned one to one aides provide optimal staffing for a
successfuland positive learning experience. Instruction is based on New
Jersey Core Curriculum Content Standards, Individual Education Plans (IEP)
and Social, Emotional and Life Enhanceing Needs. Health, physical education,
art, computer technology, speech therapy and a variety of experiential
field trips are important components of the academic milieu. A ten-month
and extended summer program is the foundation for consistent and continuous
learning for both the residential and day students.

Our
goal...
To
provide safe, supportive and positive learning environments that promote
social, emotional and intellectual growth and develop maximum independence
skills through self-advocacy and life-long learning.
Funding
source...
Funding
opportunities are made available through sending/lending school districts
and private sources.
