Certified teachers, experienced teachers' aides and individually assigned one to one aides provide optimal staffing for a successful learning experience. Instruction in basic academics and life skills training is provided commensurate with the child's level of functioning and specialized needs. Health, physical education, art, computer technology, speech therapy and a variety of experiential field trips are important components of the academic milieu. A ten-month and extended summer program is the foundation for consistent and continuous learning for both the residential and day students.

Willowglen Academy works closely with each sending school district and their child study team in developing, coordinating and implementing each individualized educational plan to ensure strength based, success oriented IEP's.
