The TDC is a short-term community based service that is available
to children with emotional and/or behavioral disturbances whose
lives (or the lives of their caregivers) are often marked by social
stressors. Typically, these stressors are severe enough to cause
disruption in the child 's/adolescent 's living arrangements.
Services in the TDC may be planned or on an emergency basis, and
are designed to de-escalate a potential crisis situation and/or
provide a therapeutic outlet for a child's/adolescent's emotional
problems.
