Who
we are...
We
are a provider of adult residential services to the Department of Disabilities
and Special Needs (DDSN). Cypress House provides a home-like environment
located within the community of Summerton, SC serving female adults ages
18 years and older. All consumers are provided with the opportunity
to achieve life goals focusing on educational and vocational endeavors.
Who
we serve...
We
accept referrals through the Department of Disabilities and Special Needs
(DDSN). Appropriate candidates exhibit the desire and potential
to increase independence in the areas of life and work skills under the
supervision of our Direct Care Staff. Our program is designed to
accommodate referents that display the following conditions:
- Intellectual
and Developmental Disabilities (IDD)
- Mental Illness
/ Co-occurring disabilities
- And Other Conditions
Determined on an Individual Basis
How
we serve...
We
provide assistance with the acquisition, retention or improvement in skills
related to daily living such as personal grooming and cleanliness, household
chores, eating and the preparation of food, and the social and adaptive
skills necessary to enable the individual to reside in a community setting.
Our
goal...
Strength-based
models of intervention encourage consumers to achieve their maximum potential
in reaching life goals by developing skills and living as a productive
member of the community.
