Clients eligible for placement at Willowglen Academy- Wisconsin include developmentally disabled, emotionally disturbed, mentally ill, dependent, neglected and those in need of supervision. Sub-categories include behavior disorders and DSM IV categories, including, but no limited to:

  • Psychosis Affective Disorders
  • Schizophrenic Disorders
  • Personality Disorders
  • Attention Deficit Disorders
  • Mixed Specific Developmental Disorders
  • Pervasive Developmental Disorders
  • Mental Retardation
  • Oppositional Defiant Disorders
  • Post Traumatic Stress Disorders
  • Adjustment Disorders
Willowglen Academy-Wisconsin serves clients in the following special education areas; emotionally disturbed (ED), learning disabled (LD), behavior disorder (BD), or cognitive delayed (CD).

Referrals made to the Admissions Department should include the necessary historical and evaluative information, including but not limited to:

  • Social history
  • Psychological information
  • Psychiatric Information
  • Medical History
  • Education History
  • Other Placements

In general, Willowglen Academy-Wisconsin does not accept clients with a sole problem of mental retardation, or clients who are non-ambulatory or pregnant. Clients with severe character disorders, or clients requiring intensive sexual offender treatment are not typically considered for admission.

Jill has worked in Human Services for more than 25 years.  She graduated from the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse with a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Social Work and Psychology.  She achieved a Master's Degree in Social Welfare from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee with an emphasis in Mental Health and Children and Family Services.  She is licensed as a Certified Independent Clinical Social Worker by the Wisconsin Regulation and Licensing Board.

Jill has been with Willowglen Academy since 1978.  She served as a Clinical Social Worker and Program Director, prior to becoming the Director of Admissions in 1987.  She has assisted with the admissions processes for Willowglen Academy - South Carolina, Willowglen Academy - Indiana, Willowglen Academy - Illinois and currently is involved in program development.
