J. Jansen Day Treatment is a highly structured and intensive,
therapeutically based program. The population served consists of
severely emotionally disturbed, conduct disordered, Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity
Disorder and cognitively delayed children and adolescents, age 6
to 21. Because of the severity of their emotional and/or behavioral
disorders, these children are unable to function in public school
settings or other less restrictive environments. Treatment for these
individuals is focused on the behavioral, educational and psychosocial
needs of the child.
The goal of the Day Treatment Program is to provide a structured
and supportive environment for therapeutic and educational service.
The Day Treatment Program clients also receive instructions in
problem-solving techniques to decrease inappropriate behaviors,
as well as instruction on enhancing communication and socialization
skills. This approach helps to facilitate the student's return
to his or her community school with less intensive supportive
services.
The Day Treatment Program services are tailored to meet the
individual therapeutic, social and education needs of at-risk,
severely emotionally disturbed youth. This program is designed
for individuals who can remain in their home, but cannot be maintained
in a public school or outpatient therapy setting. The Day Treatment
Program operates 240 days a year, Monday through Friday, from
8:30 AM to 2:30 PM Services are primarily funded through
Wraparound - Milwaukee and Title 19. Other insurances are
also considered. |
