Adult Services
Willowglen Academy-Wisconsin Adult services is a community-based
residential care system that provides care, treatment and education
or rehabilitation to individuals over the age of 18 years. Residents
receiving services have been diagnosed with mental illness or developmental
disabilities, along with cognitive impairment that inhibits their
ability to live independently. Program services emphasize a structured,
home-like environment, with supportive living opportunities, life
skills training and behavioral management support encourage movement
toward functional independence, to the greatest degree possible.
Residential: Children Services
Willowglen Academy-Wisconsin has developed unique capabilities
to provide a full range of services in eight-bed, community-based
living units in the Milwaukee area. These living arrangement allow
for intensive residential care service in a community atmosphere.
Willowglen Academy- Wisconsin provides comprehensive treatment
options for children and adolescents, ages 10-17, who experience
emotional disturbances, mental illness, and have borderline intellectual
functioning levels.
As partners in treatment with the family, the individual and
other professionals, Willowglen Academy-Wisconsin offers a full
range of individual therapeutic interventions to assist in the
development of independent life skills, socio-emotional skill
building, medical and psychiatric care, and community networking
skills. |
Group Foster Care:
Willowglen Academy- Wisconsin also offers group foster care. Similar
to the residential treatment center, the target population is
clients with mental and/or developmental disabilities. Clients
residing in these homes are more capable of managing emotional
outbursts and daily living skills. In addition, these clients
receive educational services in a public school setting
Willowglen Academy-Wisconsin also provides short-term respite
services to clients with identified needs similar to WIllowglen
Academy-Wisconsin's residential clients.
Willowglen Academy - Wisconsin's goal is to promote the highest
level of independence for children and adolescents to participate
in society to their fullest potential possible. Residential
